From 2011 to 2015, I've been studying about so many science subjects that I've forgotten some of them. I mean, I can't even remember how to operate microscopes! And I've used those for at least half of my second year in high school!
Of course, some topics tend to stick in some people's heads from time to time. Is it beacause they like it, or were they brainwashed by some secret government society? Anyway, I have topics that are still stuck in my head such as...

#10 Botany
Plants have always been important to the environment. They give oxygen and take CO2. They provide food, either directly in the form of fruits and veggies. And they make great decorations.
Just look at it: chillin' in the living room like a boss
Really, plants have always been a great help to humanity, no matter how much of a jerk we can be.
Of course, not all plants are a great help. Some are poisonous. Some are really spiky. And some are just plain hideous.

Yes, these are very real, and very ugly, humanoid roots used as medicine
Regardless, plants always find ways to fit into society. Hey, knowing about the kinds of plants around you could help with tracking the poisonous ones people should avoid... or use against someone they don't like.
#9 Zoology
We humans have always lived with animals since we first domesticated the goat (I'm not kidding, the goat was actually the first domesticated animal). We see them as sources of food, money, and entertainment. For example:
AWWWWW GAAAWWWDD!! DA CUTENESS IS KILLING MEEEEE!!!!!
See? Animals can do a lot, even when they're not doing anything.
But seriously, animals and humans lead a somewhat symbiotic relationship. I mean, a lot of us care of them, and they rely on us for help (even though a lot of us humans can be jerks).
Zoology is about the understanding of animal life; their physiological traits, habitats, behaviors, and the like. It allows us to further understand our lower brethren. Perhaps one day, we will eventually reach a point where we can finally communicate with animals...

If we stop thinking about putting them on our plates, at least...
#8 Nuclear Physics
No, I'm not referring to the war-trodden picture above. I'm referring to the more practical applications of nuclear physics, such as nuclear reactors.
Contrary to the belief of some certain overzealous protest groups, the 'smoke' you see coming out is actually just water vapor
With the decline of fossil fuels, we must take nuclear reactors into consideration. If we don't, we might just be faced with a horrible energy crisis.
Of course, I'm not saying this is without risk of radiation and contamination. But if we want to keep our streets and homes lit, we need to make a choice. Are we prepared for any consequences?

#7 Electricity
Electricity was first harnessed in the late 1870's by Thomas Alva Edison, who used it to make the first practical light bulb. Of course, that's not to say that it didn't exist until then. No. It existed since the beginning of time. It existed before the first light bulb was lit. And it existed while we were still at the bottom of the food chain.
People knew about electricity before. The most famous experiment, though, happens to be Benjamin Franklin's, where he proved that lightning was an electrical phenomenon using a kite and a metal key.

I'm pretty sure that he shocked everyone with what he did. Ha ha ha!... Sorry, that was a terrible joke...
As of the 21st century, people now live with their lives almost fully dependent on electricity. We use it for communication, travel and transportation, production, and even a few science experiments you'd expect from high school students. Electricity has become a highly influential and important part of our lives.
ALL HAIL OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, THE COMPUTER!
#6 Chemistry
Chemistry is a very broad term. However, let's just define it as the 'fundamental basics of matter.' It deals with the composition, structure, and properties of matter.
Chemistry, no matter how confusing, has always been one of my favorite subjects since my third year of high school. Is it because it's easy for me to understand the topics, or because of some innate desire? Either way, it's fun for me.
One thing about chemistry is that it, as mentioned earlier, deals with the basics of matter. Take this interesting fact:

Yes. We're made of the same things that make up stars. It's things like this that make you realize that the universe is still full of so many strange things...
BACK TO CHEMISTRY!
Anyway, yeah, everything we see around us can be traced back to a science we call 'Chemistry.' Blah, blah, blah... Matter is made up of atoms. Blah, blah, blah... And things like that.
Sorry, I ran out of things to say.

#5 Sound
To anyone who knows me well, I'm pretty sure that your'e at least mildly surprised that I'd mention this. After all, I barely talk. Plus, I hate music. But eh, let's go on.
Sound is a wave produced by vibrations in the air that reach the ears and are translated by the brain. It's invisible, but it can be reflected like any other mechanical wave.
When we hear the word 'sound,' we think of noises, singers, and that annoying guy behind you. And that's true, obviously. Sound is around us, and has been used for things like warnings and alarms, sonar, ultrasound detection, and entertainment.

I pity anyone who happens to like their songs, though... Sorry JB and Miley Fans! Ha ha ha!
I hate music, yes, but I acknowledge the importance of sound in our lives.
#4 Human Anatomy
The human body is a mass of tissues and organs forming to create a living organism. It is capable of many feats (some of which so great that the brain has to actively restrain them) and is uniquely shaped for every person.
The human body is a strange thing. For one, we've lived with it for thousands of years and we still don't understand some certain things about it.

But if we looked like this back then, then I may be able to understand why it's taking so long...
My goal in life is to become a doctor, so I'm naturally inclined to be interested in this topic. After all, medicine sounds like a fun thing to take.
Going back, the human body can be strange. As a teenager, it's even stranger. Just ask every skinny, acne-prone guy and girl you see.

...Why did I post this? This is just sick and wrong...
Eh... Just look in the mirror. Be happy that your'e healthy, and that you understand how your body works so that you can keep it that way.
#3 Force
No no no no no! Not that kind of 'Force!'
Ah, there we go.
Anyway, force, like chemistry mentioned earlier, is a very broad term. You can be referring to gravitational force (see the two guys up there? Yeah), or even the force of acceleration.
It exists all around us, allowing the existence of the earth, letting us stay on it. Things like that. Blah, blah, blah...
... That's all I have to say. Sorry.
But please don't mistake this for the Force you see in those Star Wars films.

#2 Space
Space, the final frontier. This is where humanity aims to go one day.
Space is perhaps the most mysterious thing we humans understand. Why? It's because we are limited to what we understand on this planet we call home. Yet, we humans are curious creatures; we do what we can to satisfy that curiosity. Space just happens to be one of the things that excite our curiosity, primarily with one burning question: Are we alone?
I'm a Star Wars and a Star Trek fan, so I would naturally enjoy the thought of going to space. Hopefully, I can meet and befriend an alien. By that time, I might even meet another Spock...

RIP Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015), also known as 'Spock'. You will forever live long and prosper in our hearts
#1 Genetics
Genetics is simply the study of genes (what? where you expecting something longer?)
As I've mentioned earlier, I want to become a doctor. Not just for the moolah (though I won't deny that it's a deciding factor), but also for the benefit of helping people. Genetics is my number one interest according to my career assessment result.
The search for immortality will always have it's roots in the field of medicine. Nobody wants to die. Genetics allows us to understand the many problems facing humanity such as hereditary diseases and mutations. It may even lead the way to curing cancer by targeting specific genes! Heck, we might actually find the secret to agelessness.
Idealistic as they may sound, life always gives hope for the future. Hope springs eternal after all.
Maybe one day I'll contribute something to the field of genetics. I might even make my own Spiderman!

Though a Spiderwoman wouldn't be that bad either...
